Poor conditions led to some poor fishing today. Tried out a used Maverick skiff today and Im glad I did.
It was not what I am looking for. We fished for about 3 hours before the rain. Got two bites and caught one fish.

march 16th
Had only two hours to fish today. My plan was to only look and scout, however, I found a very large school of active fish and could not resist fishing for them. Caught 12 and left them biting.
March 12th
Changing conditions and clouds made the fish harder to see today, however we did manage to catch 11. Starting to see alot more bait in the water now. Will not be much longer before a cast net is needed to catch mullets.
March 8th
Great fishing conditions today led to some great sight fishing in a bay. Saw as many as 6 schools of fish with up to 100 fish in a school. The water clarity was about five feet. Saw most fish eat our jigs. Tried to get a bite on top but they were not interested. Caught 12 ranging in size from 22-28"
March 6th
Fished today with one of my customers on a very nice Hells Bay boat. Fishing was very good. The water clarity was about four feet in most places. Caught 18 fish from 22 to 32".
March 5th
Looking at some great weather and conditions for the next four days. Fished was good today but the fish did not bite till very late in the trip. Caught nine fish in the 18- 25" range.

March 1st
We are still in a large tide cycle which is not great for fishing this time of year. However we did manage to catch 8. Two came from the Fly.
February 28th
Fished Edisto today. Big tide cycles have the water very muddy. Ran about two hours to find some clear water and when the tide stopped on low the fished showed. Caught 14, most on topwater. Fish ranged from 14-25".
February 27th
Good fishing today. Cloudy and some wind but the fish did cooperate. Caught 8 reds around 28". One real nice one around 37".
February 24th
Made a trip to Washington DC today with 45 other fisherman from Charleston to attend a rally supporting our right to Fish. We met up with 4-5000 other fisherman mostly from the east coast and gulf but some as far as Washington State and Alaska. It was a great turnout.
February 23rd
Great conditions today provided some excellent fishing. The low wind and warm temperatures have really been working in our favor for fishing. Around 1:00 the fog covered us up with visibility as low as 30 ft at times. Made it back safely but not before we caught over 25 fish, some on topwater.
